Britney Spears has designed a limited collection of clothing, accessories and shoes for fashion brand Candie's.
The collection, called Britney for Candie's, is being be sold exclusively in Kohl's department stores to kick off the back-to-school season.
"Designing was a really fun, new way for me to express my creativity, and I really wanted to create something by me for my fans," Spears said in a statement.
She said the collection, inspired by her favourite music and movies, as a mixture of day and evening looks, ranging from jeans to those little black dresses.
A print and television advertising campaign to promote the line features the tag line: "Designed by me for you."

News continues to trickle in on the pop star’s next studio album.
“Glee” creator Ryan Murphy was given a gander at some of the new material.
“[It's] really amazing. It’s sort of a return to the sort of Britney dance stuff. There are some great, great singles on that album,” he told. “I was really happy for her. I feel like she is coming back in a big way.”

Just before serving her jail sentence and stint in rehab, Lindsay Lohan came to terms with what led to her public downfall.
In an interview appearing in the October issue of Vanity Fair, conducted before she served 14 days behind bars followed by 23 days of inpatient rehab, the 24-year-old actress admits to making mistakes in the past and “dabbling in certain things.”
Regarding a time she now calls “scary and sad,” Lohan admits that she her single source of news came from tabloids.
“I would look up to those girls … the Britneys and whatever”, she said. “And I would be like, I want to be like that.”

You know Ashley Tisdale from the High School Musical series. She’ll be back on TV in the new cheerleading series Hellcats.
The Hellcats will train for new routines each week and we’ll get to see their performances. Like Glee with cheerleaders, or so we thought. “No, I think it’s completely different. Lea Michele is a really sweet girl and she came up to me and was like, ‘Thank you so much, your show kind of paved the way for all of us.’ I love watching it. I think Ryan came up with really great characters and a really entertaining show. It’s funny and has all the makings of a great TV show. I’m really excited about the Britney Spears episode.”

Glee star Lea Michele has revealed a few details of popstar Britney Spears’ recent visit to the set of the show.
The Womanizer star went back to her roots earlier this month when she filmed a cameo for the high school musical comedy.
A whole episode of the second season will be dedicated to Britney and feature her songs.
“She was so professional,” Lea Michele told Access Hollywood. “She looked incredible. She’s so tiny!”
The actress- who plays Rachel on the show- continued: “She was great to work with, It was one of those things where you go to work and you’re like, ‘I can’t believe we’re doing this!’”
And with rumours that Lea and Britney sing Baby One More Time together, she hinted that they could be true.
Michele explained: “We are in a scene together, What we do together, I can’t say, but I will tell you it’s incredibly iconic! I can’t believe (Glee creator) Ryan [Murphy] got her to do this.”

Britney and boyfriend Jason Trawick continue their Hawaiian vacation as they enjoyed breakfast together on the balcony of their luxury hotel suite. The loved-up couple looked very happy and relaxed as they watched the sun rise in Maui.
Check out the television commercial for Britney’s new fragrance ‘Radiance’. Wow. Britney looks absolutely stunning! So great to see her actually feature in her own fragrance commercial again rather than a body double!
‘Radiance’ is described as being a sparkling blend of wild berries dewy petals, and will hit stores in September.

Britney Spears sported almost the exact same bikini top and jean shorts six years ago as she did this week…and we think her body looks just as good, too!
Britney Spears has gone through a ton in the last six years — she’s had two kids, gone through a breakdown and been married and divorced…twice! That said, she still has managed to get the same bikini body back she had when she was only 22-years-old. The now 28-year-old pop star was spotted in LA Aug. 27 sporting nearly the same bikini top and jean mini shorts she was wearing six years ago…and we think she looks just as fabulous now as she did then. What do YOU think?

The Prophet Blog can exclusively reveal that Britney will be reuniting with producers Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco on her upcoming seventh album. The exact details of the collaboration aren’t known yet, but I hear that Luke is “excited” to be working with the pop princess again.
Luke & Benny both contributed to Britney’s last album Circus, writing and producing the title track, as well as the album cuts “Lace & Leather” and “Shattered Glass”. The pair have since gone on to craft chart topping hits for Katy Perry (“California Gurls”, “Teenage Dream”), Ke$ha (“TiK ToK” and “Your Love is My Drug”) and many others.
Britney is currently on vacation in Hawaii with her beau Jason Trawick, which is exactly what she did right before her Circus album era began. No release date for the album has been announced yet, but all signs are currently pointing towards the end of the year.

Brit thinks she’s in the “best shape of her life” and has no intention of covering up !
Sources say the singer — who recently enjoyed a beach stroll with her agent beau Jason Trawick — is loving her bikini body and doesn’t want to cover it up !
“Britney says herself that she is in the best shape of her life”, said one Britney insider.
“She has worked so hard to get the body she wants and intends to make the most of it. She’s already in negotiations for at least one quite shocking photoshoot and may even bare all in a movie.”
“She’s very proud of her body after all the stick she has received about her looks over the years.”

Britney Spears is on the cover of British publication Pop Magazine. The images, the work of one of Japan’s most famous artists, feature Britney in a bathing suit and a wedding dress. If only it were that simple. It’s not.
The photos were art directed by Takashi Murakami, who is often referred to as “The Andy Warhol of Japan” for his pop-infused art. Murakami draws from manga and anime to create his work, which has adorned everything from Louis Vuitton bags to Kanye West albums.
In the interview, Britney says she is a Murakami fan. “I loved working with Takashi”, she said. “I especially liked how he took high-end fashion and incorporated it with Japanese manga.”
No word whether Britney especially likes the Japanese manga the photos seem to refer to : “My Wife Is A Grade Schooler”. Back when the Tokyo Municipal government was looking to ban the questionable depictions of underage characters in anime, manga and video games, My Wife Is A Grade Schooler, an out of print manga, was fingered as an example of a work that depicted young characters in an inappropriate manner.
When the manga was shown on television, yellow Post-its were used to cover the suggestive bits. However, the Post-its made the manga appear more suggestive than it actually is. The manga itself is considered a “gag manga” and even social criticism. It apparently isn’t as bad as it looks, and some said the way it was handled on TV was political scapegoating. The cover of “My Wife Is A Grade Schooler” (pictured) echoes the imagery used in the Spears’ photographs. Same red backpack, same blue bathing, wedding dress.
This is no accident. Murakami and Seiji Matsuyama, the author of My Wife Is A Grade Schooler, have been talking on Twitter about the photographs in relationship to the erotic manga. And Matsuyama linked the Pop Magazine photographs on his website. Matsuyama even called the photos a “Takashi Murakami x Britney Spears x My Wife Is A Grade Schooler collaboration”. According to Murakami’s tweets, this is a project to show that these type of manga are Art.
“As the Seiji Matsuyama incident became a symbol of the virtual child problem”, Murakami tweeted after the photos were made public, “I thought it should be immortalized as an artistic event to be marked in history. I am an artist. Because of this, I did what artists do.”
Whether the virtual child legislation should have passed or whether these images are art or are pornography is beyond the scope of this article. What is at issue here is whether Britney Spears was in on the plan ? Did she know what exactly she was participating in ? That the imagery in those photographs is connected to what some critics are calling child pornography ?
Kotaku has reached out to the singer’s management, but the fact that Britney might not have known she was involved in this protest plot makes the images that much more compelling. Britney made a career by mining and exploiting Western stereotypes about young girls. Here, she is used to memorialize a Japanese political issue over the depiction of underage characters with loaded imagery. Then again, this is someone who became a MTV superstar by dressing as a schoolgirl Lolita.
